The Jyotih Network is a (legal) non-profit collective of DJs, musicians and organizers from British Columbia, Canada.  We seek to cultivate community, inspiration, and consciousness through making music, sharing music, and producing dance events. Artists in the network are linked primarily by their shared intentions and ideals, as opposed to being linked by any particular style or sound.

We have come together to support each other in the development of inner light through this ancient art form and to offer the healing power of music to all.

The Jyotih Network’s mission is to raise money for local registered charities, to create dance events where beautiful music is experienced in inspiring, safe and healthy environments, and to connect people and communities.

We have all tasted the awesome transformative sentience behind music and wish to contribute to the growing human peace movement which is being borne of it.

Hazrat Inayat Khan says it best: “Whatever means be chosen to bring the different minds of people together, there cannot be a better means of harmonizing them than music. It would be no exaggeration if I said that music alone can be the means by which the souls of races, nations and families, which are today so apart, may one day be united.”

Joy Sky Tanong

Joy is an organizer, charity liason, and writer for the Jyotih Network.  Her role is to promote and inform the public of the Jyotih Network’s intentions and to bring people together to take part in celebrations of unity.  As the charity liason, she connects with registered Downtown Eastside non-profit organizations in dire need of funds for community projects and coordinates donations from the proceeds of Jyotih Network events.

This sparkly human being is at her best on the dancefloor sharing loving vibrations and positive intentions.  She is happy to have been brought to the Jyotih Network on her spiritual path and is amazed at how life aligns.

Mr. Innis

Involved in the electronic music scene since the late 90’s I have progressed through many stages of involvement. From my first mindblowing experience in a dusty throbbing warehouse, to spending hours at home practicing, dreaming of the day I would rock a dancefloor, to actually being the DJ making some of the best venues in Vancouver bounce.

I have held residencies at Alexander 7, The Side Door, Chivana, and Subeez. I have played most of the major hotspots in Vancouver including Deepen @ The Lotus, Sonar, Shine and more, including Main Stage appearances at SummerLove and Soundwave festivals.

More recently I have taken on the challenge of learning how to create the sounds that I love so much. Making my own productions was an inevitable step and is the most relevant one to me right now. Now entering a stage in my career to take music and creativity in professional context, I feel very priveledged to have such a glorious path set before me. I look forward to always using music to express myself and hope that you all continue to enjoy that expression. Thank you for your continued support.

Oliver Giving

There are three things in this world that keep me going strong: electronic music, yoga and friendships. I was first attracted to electronic music in the late 90s. I loved the endless arrangement of timbres and original ideas I was hearing. I also loved the culture that had formed around this music.

I’ve been DJing for almost 10 years and have played at a number of dance events around British Columbia, Canada.  Using Ableton Live and Serato Itch I mix conscious intelligent beautiful funky inspiring music that helps to create a positive environment on vibrant dancefloors.
